| Introduction:
My client is a global organization who operates in the SCADA, Integrated Security and Command, Control & Communications markets such as utility sites, emergency services, MOD and other high security sites. They are located in Cheshire but carry out operations throughout the UK and Overseas. An opportunity has arisen for a Principal Projects Engineer in their Security Business Unit who will design and implement complex multi-disciplinary high technology computer based security systems within budget and contractual time-scales.
Responsibilities: - Design and Engineer Integrated Security Systems to meet the challenging requirements of demanding clients, either individually or as part of a team, and ensure complete and comprehensive documentation is produced to enable the successful implementation and subsequent maintenance of the project.
- Design building layouts and cable layouts.
- You will plan and control all activities, including the management of sub-contract resources, to ensure successful execution of projects within budgeted costs and time scales.
- Provide technical support to the sales department during bid preparation including manpower and time-scale estimates.
- Negotiate and Liase with clients.
- Lead, control and motivate a team of project engineers whilst providing the necessary technical and managerial guidance to develop their role in the company.
- Ensure company operates within requisite regulations.
Applicant Requirements:-
HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar if supported by relevant experience is essential.
- Driving license essential.
- 5 years in related project engineering environment.
- Experience in Integrated Security Systems, Access Control or CCTV design environment is desirable as well as experience of working under, or management of, CDM (Construction Design Management) and HSE Legislation.
- Good written, oral and presentation skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- Good negotiation skills- Flexibility as you will be needed to travel both in the UK and overseas at short notice for reasonable periods of time.
- Please note that due to the nature of this senior position, additional hours may need to be worked to properly fulfil the requirements of the role.
Benefits:-
£28k - £32k per annum.
36 hours per week 8.30am 4.30pm.
25 days holiday plus 8 stats.
