Chemical Commissioning Engineer needed for power plant construction

Our Client is a global leader in the world of power generation and sets the benchmark for innovative and environmentally friendly technologies. The company designs, manufactures and supplies state-of-the-art products and systems to the power generation - for gas, coal, and hydro power plants - and industrial markets

Your Role: We are looking for someone who has appropriate experience in power plant construction and engineering.The role is global and we need you to be able to work overseas. Whilst you will be notionally be based out of Knutsford for administrative reasons, all will be deployed on-site at any one of a number of major new power station construction projects - and that could mean working anywhere in the world.
Indeed, this is how you could significantly enhance your earning capacity, by qualifying for Positional Allowances, which can add considerably to base salaries when working overseas. The allowances vary according to the physical location.solid experience in large-scale, large construction/civils environments, hands-on involvement in building power stations overseas would be absolutely ideal.

Main Tasks: Manage, perform, coordinate and monitor the commissioning of the specified systems byarrangement with the Commissioning Manager. Organise and supervise the safe operation of the plant (site rules, safety regulations, shiftplan, shift log, etc.) Facilitate the turnover of systems from erection to commissioning and from commissioningto the customer. Advise the commissioning manager of any information that could influence the commissioning timeschedule and/or the commissioning staff planning. Manage, assess, supervise and co-ordinate personnel assigned to him/her. Train the customer staff in operation and maintenance Provide, on request, technical experience feedback to project engineering departmentsduring debriefing meeting(s) to be organised by the project. Control reordering/replacement of chemicals and reagents as required and maintainaccurate records of quantities and costs. You will ensure that:The personnel assigned to him/her are fully acquainted with the site specific rules, safetyregulations and environmental protection measures and that they perform their workaccordingly. Commissioning is performed in a safe and timely manner. All chemicals and other hazardous materials within the company scope of supply andresponsibility are safely handled and stored in accordance with company EHS guidelinesand relevant local legislation.

Requirements:
Hopefully you will hold a relevant degree or equivalent.
Hopefully you will hold Level 1 of COMET (Commissioning Engineer Training). Hopefully you will be Fluent in spoken and written English. So do you have what it takes?? Salary Details Salary negotiable. Hours of Work 37 hours per week.(flexi-time) Holiday Entitlement 25 days per year basic entitlement. Floating bank holidays - agreed annually.
