| My client is a leading household products company and is looking for a Group Technical Project Manager (effectively a Chief engineer) to be responsible for the successful management and delivery of multiple, complex, or high production technical projects from inception, research and development up to production.
Job Specification:
Key Result Areas
1 Provide day-to-day operational and tactical management of multiple, or high production projects.
2 Lead, motivate and manage project managers and/or large project team(s).
3 Create and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers, suppliers, project sponsor(s) and other Company stakeholders.
4 Implement project management, financial and quality assurance reviews in accordance with company processes and procedures to ensure delivery of projects and/or work packages to agreed success criteria (including budget, timescale and quality objectives).
5 Produce monthly and, where necessary, exception project reports to Company senior management.
6 Effectively manage risk.
7 Responsible for the Safety & Health of self and others who may be affected by work/project activities
Essential Qualifications & Experience
1 Qualified in a relevant area to degree level, plus thorough experience in a relevant domestic / project engineering environment.-
2 Extensive and detailed Project Management experience in a relevant technical project environment.
3 Ability to chair/facilitate team and client meetings effectively.
4 A good working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word and Excel.
5 A sound working knowledge of Project Risk Analysis and Management techniques,
6 Excellent contract and commercial management skills, and an awareness of legal implications within a project.
7 Full current driving licence
8 Able and willing to work throughout the UK and abroad
8 Able and willing to work flexible hours
