Projects Sales Engineer
 Job Location:Resident South East England

Job Details
Preferred experience:

Knowledge of the oil, gas & petrochemical projects design & construction market, including end users, PMC, FEED & EPC contractors, especially in relation to hazardous area electrical products and power, control and instrumentation cables. Proven sales ability to major blue chip clients.
Understanding of the appropriate products, enthusiasm and ability to work as part of a focused team, communicate effectively and keep clear, accurate records.

Primary Tasks:
• Reporting to the Group Business Development Manager, and liaising with project teams for both cables and electrical bulk materials, execute the business development plan and ensure efficiency without duplication.

• Develop face to face relationships with existing and potential clients across the broad spectrum of estimating (bid preparation), design, engineering, procurement and project management functions to gather detailed intelligence on market activity and enhance business opportunities by ensuring the company is included on all appropriate bidder lists for all products and services
within our scope to increase the company´s market share and profitability.

• Plan work activities in a timely and methodical manner and report all intelligence about clients, their personnel movements/responsibilities and projects as well as competition activity. Full reporting system detail supplied which is to be kept up to date and accurate in every respect.

• Liaise with Cables and Electrical Products Business Unit Managers on outline strategy for the bid process, margins and presentation of the clients’ requirements to ensure competitive and professional submissions.

• Ensure full & timely follow-up & reporting of bids submitted. Liaise with teams on this aspect.

• Achieve annually agreed sales and profit targets.

• Develop relationships and liaise with manufacturer / supplier representatives applicable to our market place without prejudice to our independence or confidential information.

Additionally, travel both within and outside the UK will be required in this position.
