| *Organise and control the design and engineering of field and panel instrumentation of fiscal metering systems. *To reduce field and panel costs and also contribute to a cost effective design. *Produce electrical designs for mechanical systems and products to customer specifications, complying with national and international standards and good engineering practices. From initial conception through construction and final testing. *Ensure designs meet the requirements for relevant hazardous area zones *Organise the work of Systems Engineering. *Attend meetings internal and with client. *Specification review and overall system design. *Produce and monitor schedules and attend department progress meetings. *General administrative duties. *Systems Engineering duties. *Design work including design calculations. *Provide electrical engineering back-up during fabrication, assembly and testing of all mechanical Systems and products. *Ensure designs comply with hazardous area regulations. *Attend kick-off meeting, gather system overview including technical and delivery aspects. *Receive customer schedule of specifications and standards, highlight these relevant to Systems Engineering. *Receive specification and review against DEL quotation. *Update system design in accordance with omissions, deviations from client specifications, modification requests and Daniel standards. *Provide cost and delivery impact estimates where required. *Liaise with customer, project management and internal functions. *Submit revised designs for customer approval. |
