Job Ref. :uker15850 Software Maintenance   Job Location: London   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: £31,000 Job Details An experienced candidate required to work within Software Maintenance. Responsible for maintenance of the bespoke software including problem investigation and resolution. The system comprises of newly installed IT equipment. The position is based at a site near to Heathrow. Proficient in Java & C++ Strong Software experience in Software/Systems/IT Engineering Maintenance of both COTS & bespoke software. Technical problem investigation, data collection & problem resolution Generation & resolution of Discrepancy Reports Software code modification Updating software design artifacts Interfacing with COTS vendors for technical support. The role may involve travel within the UK and to USA. Good knowledge of IT systems and associated support Proven track record in maintenance of complex IT systems Good understanding of Software/Systems engineering principles. Desirable - Familiarity with MOD service & civilian personnel. Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment. We will not provide UK work permits. Please ensure you are a UK/EU resident or have a relevant permit.
