| A Capability Integration Engineer is required for specifically assigned Military jet development tasks to manage the engineering processes through the Life Cycle from Customer Requirements to Qualification/Certification of the product, from an air vehicle perspective. Facilitate technical integration of the disparate elements of the task to provide a product that meets the Customer Requirements and is fit for purpose. Ensure that the engineering processes being applied to the project are comprehensive and auditable to meet the Project Standards and Customer Requirements.
To achieve all of the above requires close and regular involvement with all of the Engineering disciplines across Strike Operations Engineering.
The job requires an Engineer with an understanding of the broader aspects of engineering development activities, a high degree of self motivation and good communications skills.
Experience of working in any of the following Engineering departments, or knowledge of their responsibilities and activities, is preferable, as technical liaison with all of them will be required:
Mission Systems, Flight Systems, Weapons Integration Engineering, Aerodynamics, Structures, Design Office, Systems Test & Evaluation, Flight Test, Airworthiness, System Safety, Reliability, Maintainability.
A working knowledge of Tornado is highly desirable.
Engineering HND/Degree plus minimum 3 years relevant engineering experience or HNC plus minimum 5 years |
