| CDE are currently looking to expand the number of Project Engineers based in the UK, in and around the midlands.
Your responsibilities will be to assist the Contracts Manager in all aspects of the design, management, installation and successful completion of projects which have been passed on to the project team from the sales engineers. You will be dealing first hand with customers and subcontractors and will be responsible for the project teams throughout the U.K. Extensive travel throughout the U.K. will be a prerequisite of the role
The Role Details: 1. To assist the Contracts Manager in the technical and logistical design of project plans, including the sourcing of hired-in-plant, labour and equipment to fulfil the project requirements as directed by the Contracts Manager.
2. Full P&L Responsibility for all contracts under your control.
3. To provide technical input to the system design as required. This will involve reading CAD designs as and when required.
4. To supervise and assist in the co-ordination of the installation of all CDE and third party equipment on site as per project plan including the “on-site” management of all subcontractors.
5. From time to time there will be a need to act as the site Manager/Project Engineer so you must be willing to Project Manage individual projects, on site as and when required.
6. To instruct, liaise with and assist Site Managers, Electricians, Mechanical Fitters, Commissioning Engineers and other site workers as required to ensure the project is completed to plan, on time and within budget.
7. To identify potential sources of technical problems in operation and develop and implement effective solutions, communicating at all times with the Contracts Manager /Design Supervisor in order to highlight any future modifications and improvements through existing procedures.
8. To send weekly reports to the Contracts Manager regarding the status of each of the assigned projects currently in progress and effectively dealing with and pre-empting potential problems which may hinder the project.
9. To write and implement all required health and safety documentation required for site, including in the U.K., lift plans (Must be or be willing to be trained as an Appointed person).
10. Ensuring all necessary health and safety regulations are complied with, in particular by subcontractors on site.
11. To provide a link between the customer and “back-office” with regard to any issues or problems and communicating with the customer at all times during the project to ensure all technical queries are answered and problems swiftly resolved.
12. To assist the Contracts Manager with any other duties as required. |
