Job Ref. :uker15270 Quality Engineer   Job Location: Peterborough   Qualifications: Institute of Quality Assurance   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: Excellent Salary and package Job Details As a Quality Engineer, your role will have an impact on every part of our business. Whether you are working on site here in Peterborough or at one of our customer or supplier sites elsewhere in the UK or across the world, providing the support we need to ensure that we continue to meet the high quality standards we set for ourselves, will be your main objective. Working alongside virtually every team from design to manufacture, you will cover all the key processes that drive our business to deliver excellent customer service and exceptionally high quality products. In your role, you will: evaluate and update procedures, carry out pre audit checks, facilitate the external audit process and create quality plans for projects and products. With our team of buyers, you will also carry out reviews of our suppliers and sub contractors to ensure that they are aligned to our standards. Leading by example, your passion for quality rubs off on those you work with, injecting pace, energy and enthusiasm in their own procedures and practices. You will enjoy working as part of any team and create good relationships wherever you go through your confidence and excellent communication skills. Your ability to do a great job will be supported by your extensive working knowledge of the whole sales, engineering and manufacturing process. Ideally, you will have a degree in engineering, be An Associate Member of the Institute of Quality Assurance and have worked using various quality systems for at least three years. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement philosophies such as Kaizen will also be beneficial. You will also need to be highly proficient in computer skills using Microsoft packages so that you can carry out analysis, create reports and deliver presentations. Based here in Peterborough and with extensive travel in the UK and internationally, we can assure you that your time with us will be challenging, demanding and rewarding.
