Job Ref. :uker1299 Business Development Manager, Steam Turbines - Parts And Service   Job Location: Chester, Crewe, Nantwich, Macclesfield, Stockport,   Qualifications: HNC/HND/Degree   Terms: Permanent only   Salary: Good Salary and benefits Job Details Business Development Manager, Steam Turbines - Parts and Service Our Client, a major player in the power generation industry has dual roles: as a Local Service Centre (LSC) providing integrated solutions for power plant operators across the UK and as a Service Execution Centre (SEC) supporting our installed fleet of impulse turbines and generators around the world We have a vacancy for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to promote and develop spares and service opportunities for both our own installed fleet and third party plant with power and industrial sector customers. The main duties will include: * Gaining detailed information about the allocated customer base * Establishing relationships with key client decision makers * Gaining an understanding of customers´ current service and maintenance philosophies * Identifying opportunities and managing pricing policy to support customers´ purchasing decisions and maximise sales * Liaising with logistics, planning and field service functions to ensure timely delivery and a coordinated approach to the customer Candidates should be qualified to HNC or HND level in mechanical engineering; have experience of steam turbines within a design or site role; have an understanding of the UK power market; possess good interpersonal, planning, organising, presentation, influencing and leadership skills; be innovative in approach to the process; be self motivated and focussed on meeting targets and be computer literate. The role will involve travel throughout the UK. We will not provide UK work permits. Please ensure you are a UK/EU resident or have a relevant permit.
